We have been breeding and exhibiting Standard Dachshunds for about 25 years and have shown about 200 to their Championships and have sent winners to Australia,South America, Japan, South Africa and Europe. Our most famous Dachshund is CH Boondox Panama Jack, the All Time Top Producing Standard Longhaired Dachshund in the World. His progeny have certainly changed what we expect our Dachshunds to be. He sired many Top Winners at the National level in both Smooths and Longs before his death in 1996. His two most famous daughters are pictured on this page. The Smooth is Ch Boondox Ipsy Pipsy who was twice Best Smooth Female at our National Specialty.The Long is Ch Boondox Bermarg Treasure L. who was seven times Best of Breed winner at Dachshund Specialties as well as being a Group Winner. Our emphasis in breeding is adherence to the Standard with special emphasis on Health and Temperament.

Although our main focus in breeding is producing our next generation to show ourselves, we normally have Pet Quality puppies as well as Show prospects to place in qualified homes in each litter.
Visitors are welcome to come and visit our Dachshunds, Basenjis and other animals at anytime, but we do suggest you call first for an appointment. We do like to show our dogs off as we are proud of the results we have accomplished over the years. As you can tell from our website, we certainly do share the dogs we produce and I don't think anyone breeding Dachshunds in America has been as influential as us in sharing the results of our breeding program with others. The list of kennels and breeders all over the world that have based their line on Boondox dogs is a very long one and is ongoing. On the right is CH Bondox Ipsy Pipsy, a PJ daughter who has become indispensable to both our Long and Smooth breeding programs. Her successful show career consisted of several Group wins, specialty wins and twice BOS Smooth at DCA, but her real importance is being borne out in the whelping box. Her first litter produced the multiple Specialty winner, CH Boondox Xenia Onatopp. Currently, we are showing the LH Bitch, Boondox Double Delight L, who is a littermate to Ipsy's 1st Champion son, CH Boondox Dimond Dino L, owned by Jan Simpson of Ohio. Just starting are the three sisters, Boondox French Lace, Fiona and Faith, all LHs owned, respectively, by Linda Kraft, Vicki Ronchette, and Boondox. They are head turners!!

What can I say about Treasure (left)? She was the epitome of a Show dog, winning BB at 7 Specialties (unheard of for a LH Bitch!!) and was a Group winner, but more importantly, from her breedings with CH Boondox Sting v Kanawha L, she produced the essential dogs, Fortunate Son, Forrest Gump and her lookalike in type and style, Polo (below). She was a joy to be around and NEVER had a "down" day. We will always be grateful to Martha Grantham- and Rikki- for letting us have her.
On the right is the current head man (in both senses of the word!!) at Boondox. This son of our all-time favorite, Treasure, is certainly proving his mettle as a producer, but then, with his pedigree, this is really not a surprise. He is a full brother to CH Boondox Fortunate Son L and CH Boondox Forrest Gump L, both top winners and top producers, and CH Boondox Paulette L, who remains here at Boondox. Again this linebreeding on PJ is paying dividends in type, movement and style in the next generation.
